Verified Voting and What is Happening with Legislation in Maryland in 2007.

===================================================

Stan Boyd (and many others) have been working long and hard on this
issue. He will be updating us on where things stand in the fight to
get secure voting in Maryland and how we can help to make this happen.
The Diebold machines consistently appear among the most pressing
problems cited by activists in Maryland - is 2007 the year Maryland
will finally do something about them?

Also: Let's spend a short time talking about lessons learned in the
2006 election. Do you have any hot tips that you would pass on to
another grassroots activist, something you learned new this time
around and others could put to good use in the future? And what issues
do we as a group want to focus on in 2007 in addition to verified
voting?

Please patronize the restaurant (and budget time for that - the line
is slow sometimes!).

Hope to see you on the 16th! For questions, contact Elly Shaw-Belblidia.

Health Care in Maryland

Why do 1000s and 1000s of people in Maryland lack access to health care? What can we do about it?

Please add your comments.
The ICC - what is it good for?

At a recent town hall meeting with Gov. O'Malley and County Exec. Ike Leggett, many participants strongly denounced the ICC. Can we stop it? Who really supports it?

Please add your comment.
We won! Now what?

Democrats won back the Governorship and increased power in the legislature. Now what? What do you expect and hope to see from the Governor, the State Legislature, the MC County Exec and County Council, etc.

Please offer your comments.
